The Merida eSilex 400 Electric Gravel Bike Has been designed to further blur the line between electric gravel bikes and the non-electric gravel bike world, you would be forgiven if at first glance you did not realise this was an electric bike! Featuring an impressive Mahle rear hub motor that puts out 40Nm of torque to help you up those hills, while the 250Wh battery will keep you running for hours. For those who want to go further, you can even fit a range extender (purchased separately) to the bottle cage mounting points for an additional 250Wh to keep you riding for longer! This combined with the 10 speed Shimano gearset means you will be breezing up those hills, and on your next commute to work. The eSilex also offers a range of mounting points for everything from fenders to a rear rack and kickstand, meaning you can customise this amazing bike to be a commuter, bike packing bike, or leave them all off for a sleek, fast gravel or road ride. 
The eSilex was designed specifically as an electric bike, with a lot of the components tailored specifically to the needs of an eBike. The oversized 1.5" head tube and tapered carbon fork deliver precise steering even at the increased speeds of an eBike and with the added weight of the electric components. The carbon fork also helps take the bumps out of the ride for a smooth, comfortable experience, and the Shimano GRX 400 hydraulic disc brakes mean you can stop in confidence with the extra speed and weight of an eBike, even on rougher terrain. Designed with off-road in mind, this bike can comfortably fit 40mm (700c) or 47mm tyres (650b), even with fenders installed, and comes with a pair of 700x40c Maxxis Ramblers ready to go. All of this in a sleek, beautiful design, even offering internal cable routing to keep your cockpit clean and uncluttered. With these amazing features, the eSilex truly is a versatile bike that is capable on and off-road.
